As per the RTI Act, any person can get information or inquire about any government department by applying RTI. SC /ST person uses a caste certificate for reservation purposes. So that it can take advantage of the facilities provided by the government. A Caste Certificate is the proof of one's belonging to a particular caste, especially in case one belongs to any of the 'Scheduled Castes', as specified in the Indian Constitution. You cannot apply for a caste certificate online in all states. Some of the state government and district administration bodies don't issue/support an online application in order to get a caste certificate.

 

Process of Filling RTI for Cast Certificate
